8 Plait cord, sometimes called venetian blind cord or VB cord. This is a cheap cord for many uses including picture framing, blinds and awnings, macrame, craft, whipping and knotwork, throwlines, nets and kites.

Although this cord has a core the main strength is in the cover which is made of polyester for its' exceptional wear resistance. polyester is UV resistant making this an excellent choice for all outside applications.
